On May 12nd , 2016 Banking Academy of Vietnam (BAV) organised the workshop “The role of Microfinance Institutions in socio-economic development of Vietnam” at the headquaters in Hanoi.
There were Mr. Nguyen Kim Anh – Deputy Goveror of SBV, Prof. Dr. Le Van Luyen – Vice President of BAV, many senior experts in the field of Microfinance, presentatives from SBV, social policy banks, and univesities to attend the workshop to discuss about making policies and managing Microfinance operation in the time ahead.
Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Kim Anh delivered a speech about impacts of Microfinance on poverty alleviation and social security. According to him, parallel with the purpose of sustainable poverty reduction, economy growth and life quality improvement, operation management was one of essential factors to long – term sustainability of microfinance in the coming time. Hence, the Deputy Governor suggested organisation comittee should collect and categorise all shared ideas, report to the Governor of SBV, competent authorities as well as microfinance institutions to help policy makers formulate policy framewworks of Microfinance operation management in the future.
